ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) reconstruction surgery

ACL reconstruction is a surgical procedure that involves replacing the anterior cruciate ligament in the knee with a tissue graft to restore its former function, after the anterior cruciate ligament in the knee has lost its function as a result of an injury. Two different treatment methods can be followed in the treatment of torn ligament. Depending on the case, the ligament is either removed from the knee or the ligament can be preserved prior to reconstruction of an arthroscopic procedure.
